Join MYA for an adventure in Bangor starting up at the bog and ending up in a sauna. There will be plenty of yoga, vegetarian food, and good vibes. And, we’ve added in a sound bath for extra healing goodness!
Adventurers will meet up at the Tripp Drive parking lot of the Bangor City Forest and take a short stroll to the entrance of the Orono Bog Boardwalk. We’ll experience the beauty and unique biodiversity of a Maine bog; we may catch beautiful remnants of fall foliage. On the one mile loop trail we’ll bird and practice yoga & meditation. It’ll be a unique experience to pass through a wide range of changing vegetation and ecosystems.
From the forest we’ll make our way to a new Bangor locale, Bodi Bar Fitness & Wellness, to get in a sound bath and some sweet contrast therapy. We’ll let the singing bowls & bells send us into a deep meditative state. Let the muscles relax and your stress subside as you enter the sauna; the ultimate way to relax, recharge and restore your mind and body.
There is a cold plunge to take advantage of to provide the contrast. Submerging your body in ice-cold water is amazing due to the load of benefits. Bodi Bar’s cold water immersion therapy can help speed up your muscle recovery, increase your circulation, boost your endorphins and improve the appearance of your skin. It can also help you build mental resilience by teaching your mind to tolerate discomfort.
After the sound bath, MYA will have yummy vegetarian food at the ready. We’ve got a two hour time slot to rotate through the hot & cold therapies.
Don’t miss out on a gem of a local adventure!
