Earth Day Adventure: Goats & Gratitude

  • Lone Spruce Farm 306 Bald Mountain Road Dedham, Maine (map)

As a last minute celebratory adventure, MYA is heading back to the farm with more fun with goats and delicious food! Earth Day is every day for adventurers and Lone Spruce Farm but we’ll make this one extra special by drawing attention to what we’re grateful for and simple things we can do to make the earth a better place.

We’ll begin with giving some love to the farm animals and spending extra time with the goats as we practice a yoga flow alongside them.

If there’s a chill in the air, adventurers can cozy up to an outdoor fire. Mimosas can be conjured up as well if adventurers are into it.

Next up will be food! Kristin, farmer and cook extraordinaire, of Lone Spruce will get the wood stove heated up for eggs (choice of duck, hen or goose eggs) alongside rustic breads and fresh greens.

As we brainstorm all things earthy, we can take a stroll through the woods and alongside the stream. We’ll then kick off our shoes, get barefoot in the greenhouse and paint our promises to the earth and self.

Adventurers can share their ideas and art on the greenhouse walls. We’ll get visceral, don’t worry about getting technical :)
