Join Maine Yoga Adventures for an extra special engaging-all-of-your-senses adventure.
At Om Land Yoga in Brewer, adventurers will begin in silken hammocks to relax the mind and melt into the contact or touch of fabric on the body. Holly Twining, founder of MYA, will move through an aerial flow that is slow and full of possibilities for elongation of the spine. We will get upside down and enjoy a different perspective as well as simply lying down in the hammock and allowing it to support us fully.
Tiller & Rye, local grocer and cafe, will be our next stop where adventurers can give into the senses of smell and taste, oh la la. We’ll work with Kierstin O’Brien, a wonderful cook and homemade body products creator. Making allergen-free cupcakes will be our mission as well as a non-food element such as body lotion that you can mix up and give as a holiday gift. And, adventurers simply can not leave Tiller & Rye without enjoying some of their amazing soup!
As a break during our cafe experience, we’ll head over to the Penobscot River to take in the sights, sun shining or cloudy, it’s alway a lovely experience to connect with the water.
Adventurers will then venture onto Orono with a visit to the public library. We’ll tune into the sounds of local composer and musician, Barbara Smith. Barbara’s music is inspired by Maine landscapes from the mountains to the sandy beaches. Via the sounds of the keyboard, adventurers may feel transported to some of their favorite places. Sit back, relax, meditate, breathe...
