Join Maine Yoga Adventures on a return adventure to gorgeous Nosara, Costa Rica! This special place will enchant your heart and soul.

Nosara is a small village in the Nicoya Peninsula, on the Pacific coast - the crowds are kept away by it's remoteness.

Enjoy a full week at our private oasis Casa De Alces - luxurious, tropical, and inspiring. Relax in the open air rancho style taking full advantage of lounge areas, fountains, outdoor showers, and  saltwater pool w/ tiki bar!

Our casa has second floor open space perfect for yoga sessions. We will spread our yoga around - wood floor, poolside, beach...

Sophia Palange, our professional cook, founder of Phia's, will have two kitchens (one indoors, one outdoors) to whip up artful, tantalizing meals with a local flavorful fresh sensibility.

Adventurers have access to the kitchens. Smoothies are part of the Nosara vibe!

The beach, with an undeveloped shoreline, is a stroll away. Nosara has restored their dunes; absolutely beautiful. Birding is incredible! Great sightings of howler monkeys, butterflies, dragonflies, and crabs...

Playa Guiones is one of the best surfing beaches in the world. MYA will set up adventurers with a professional lesson then there will be plenty of days left to play in the water!

Beginner surfers and more advanced surfers welcome!

The beach is a wonderful gathering place to watch the jaw dropping Nosara sunset. Both locals and visitors treasure those brief moments with spectacular hues.

Sunrise yoga practices - cool and quiet with the soft and smooth sand underfoot. If you can rouse yourself early Nosara definitely rewards you with it's beauty.

Bike rentals are a great to explore the landscape. We’ll be arriving around turtle nesting season and on the lookout for slow, highly motivated ocean friends. The people who live, work & play in Nosara are warm, welcoming and willing to help you speak espanol!

“Costa Rica?” I thought. “Seriously?” I had never been there nor had any clue how to accomplish that. And then up popped Holly’s adventure last January to Costa Rica. I booked!
It was SEAMLESS from arrival to departure. She answered questions, connected me with other people, helped with reservations and took care of EVERYTHING on the ground. What a treat to be able to hit the ground with someone who had actually traveled there BEFORE to sort everything out. That’s class.
The hotel was booked, room open, food available, and the pool was open. We were able to enjoy a week of laid back, relaxed fun – moving from one activity to another. Sunsets and sunrises on the beach, open air cafes, bicycle rentals organized for us, yoga offered morning and night, and throw in a some surfing lessons. Holly was often on the phone organizing and confirming what was coming next – zip lining included with about 15 different lines as we worked our way down a mountain.
My favorite yoga session was early one morning in a open-air pavilion, with the sound of nature just so soothing. We never left the ground, as Holly and Machelle moved quietly from one adventurer to another, giving little stretches and encouragement.
Did I mention the chef that came along to cook organic, nutritious meals?! That helped keep the extra expenses down. And throw in some howler monkeys the last morning, perfect!
All in all, I was VERY glad I had the opportunity to travel with Holly and the Maine Yoga Adventurers and look forward to future adventures.
