MYA is going back to the farm, an ethical, caring, community first farm, Lone Spruce Farm in Dedham! Adventurers will enjoy goat yoga (high hopes that the goats come close and join adventurers as they flow!), whipping up some recipes for a mini friendsgiving before the big day of gratitude, and coming together for a special weaving project... 

We'll meet up at the farm for a tour of the grounds. The Beauchamp family are the hearts and hands that make up Lone Spruce Farm.

Their farm, a sweet spot in Dedham, is dedicated to education, community, and sustainable agriculture. They are doing everything they can to ensure a diverse, bright future for all. 

Adventurers will get to the know the goats a little better practicing yoga alongside them. They will definitely be curious but no one should mind getting distracted by cuteness. There may be snow, the ground may be grassy, no matter what the weather brings, we’ll have a fun outdoor practice. Beginners welcome! 

Adventurers will have opportunities to create and connect as we come together to make bread, put together some mashed root veggies and cranberry pecan stuffing with wild rice. We’ll also make a crazy good dessert, chewy chia & flax cookies. MYA’s favorite part from last year will happen again…we’ll partake in vegetarian butternut ginger bisque from the woodfired oven! Yessss!

The food is always amazing at the farm and recipe cards will be available for everything we make and eat. An added delight to this year’s adventure will be adding an adventurer’s touch to a collaborative community weaving project.

This ongoing weaving project at the farm incorporates ripped strips of fabric that are woven into the garden fence from the many diverse visitors that come to Lone Spruce.

Friendsgiving attendees can bring old sheets, tapestries, or table cloths to rip up or use previously donated fabrics. Woven Together We Are One
