Paddleboard Yoga Adventuring

  • Brown's Beach Stillwater Trail Orono, ME, 04473 United States (map)

First round is sold out - thank you adventurers!

Last season's session was so awesome, we’re offering it up again! Join Holly Twining, founder of MYA, for a fun, flowing paddleboard yoga series on the beautiful Stillwater River. You never know what you might see, the natural world is alive and well on the river with turtles, beavers, cormorants, songbirds, sandpipers, eagle, osprey and more.

Adventurers will gather at Brown’s Beach a sweet spot close to downtown Orono Tuesday nights, July 9th-August 13th, at 5:30pm. Our boards, paddles, pfds, and anchors, will be delivered weekly by the fab UMAINE campus organization Maine Bound.

You can join us with your own board but the number of participants will be limited (unless there's high demand, then I'll bring on another instructor - yahoo!). To commit to your paddleboard yoga practice, feel free to sign up for the whole session, you’re less likely to cancel :) If your schedule is dicey then absolutely go for dropping in.

This yoga practice is for everyone, no worries, you'll only fall in if you really want to and honestly, that's part of the fun! By the end of the six weeks who knows what amazing poses you may be pulling off on that board!

Yoga is always only doing what is best for your body, mind, and spirit; all variations, modifications, your own personal flair, all is welcome! There is no doubt that adventurers will strengthen their core and test their balance.

Each week at the adventure's close - Holly is thrilled to invite adventurers to her back porch and gardens for wine, cheese, chocolate and lots of chit chatting!

Cost: $200 six week session with board rental; $150 six week session with own board.

Drop in: $35/board rental; $30/own board. Register asap to drop in so we're prepared with equipment.

Don't let fear get in the way of a crazy good time! Really, this session is for everyone :)
