Hike, Holler & Sip Adventure

Join MYA for a lovely Saturday in Unity, Maine and beyond, adventurers will take on the Whitten Hill Preserve loop hike in the forever wild lands, have a fab vegetarian picnic then head over to Holler Soap Co. for a hands on experience, and finish up with Stone Tree Farm & Cidery for outdoor yoga and an adult beverage…

The adventure begins at the Whitten Hill Preserve trailhead in Montville, a 3.5-mile moderately challenging loop trail. The trail is great for birding, passing over Whitten Hill and down to the banks of the Sheepscot River. Along the way, adventurers will see fruit trees, stone walls, foundations, and other evidence of the previous habitation of the land. Bring along your binoculars, you never know what we might spot. Let’s hope for a day of sunshine and no bugs :)

Next up, we’ll find a nice spot for a vegetarian gourmet picnic, yesss! Following full happy bellies, MYA is thrilled to visit local small business, Holler Soap Co., in the village of Unity at the sweet train depot. They carry handmade, all natural soaps, cleaners and other products for your home, body, and mind. All of their soaps are made in small batches by hand, using natural and organic ingredients; most are vegan, no animal products are used in making them.

Adventurers will get a special session with Holler creating a delightful for the senses infused body/massage oil, we’ll all take home a 2oz bottle with dropper.

Holler Soap Co. offers up a wide range of products from traditional bar soap, goats milk soap, foaming pump soaps, herb infused vinegars for cleaning and hand knit goodies to hand carved spoons and walking sticks. Bring along a little extra in your wallet, you’re going to want to support all of their goodness.

We’ll get in our outdoor yoga practice at the next stop, super awesome Stone Tree Farm & Cidery, co-owed by Brian Erickson and Frank Haferland. Their love of wine and cider pushed them to pursue their dream of starting and operating their own establishment. Together, a perfect pairing, and the perfect place for each adventurer to partake in their own flight be it cider or wine. If you’d like to purchase your fav beverage to go, feel free, the MYA family has because Stone Tree’s wine is amazing and meant to be savored both in person and at home :)

Stone Tree’s property is beautiful inside & out with a great space to order your bliss and free your bladder, flowing fields, and farm animals. Adventurers will find a space to breathe and stretch together. Perhaps before the imbibing! There’s corn hole too, always a good time.
