Join MYA at a fabulous lakeside private home close to Burlington, VT for a wicked weekend of doing all the things! Bring along all of your wintertime gear and sense of adventure as we get in snowga (yoga with snowshoes), cross-country skiing (or snowshoeing if you’d rather), the Vermont Burlesque Festival, ice skating, sledding, and downhill skiing (very optional). Most importantly, our luxurious stay has an outdoor hot tub that overlooks the lake and a steam-sauna for two in the marble-lined “rain room” yesssss!

Adventurers will stay at a stunning one of a kind cedar home located 20 minutes from downtown Burlington with six bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a private beach on Mallets Bay (Lake Champlain). We’ll enjoy total privacy on three acres in a secluded area of deep ancient forest, miles from civilization; don’t get nervous, we’re only twenty minutes from downtown.

The house includes 3,200 square feet of fabulousness including a great room that is open to a modern kitchen and an expansive screen porch overlooking the lake. Douglas fir post and beam architecture with wide-board pine floors throughout will support our sweet morning yoga practices with 30 foot vaulted wood-paneled ceilings to give us plenty of breathing room. Accessed from each of the upstair's master bedrooms, a five panel sliding door completely opens up and is flanked on either side by sundecks overlooking the water (of course all adventurers will have access to it).

Our super talented MYA cook will be Sarah, whipping up vegetarian breakfasts and super yummy dinners as well as happy hour! Lunches will be up to adventurers wherever our day lands us.

Adventurers can decide how to take on this adventure, getting in all of the outdoor options or to simply lounge about indoors reading in front of the wood stove or soaking in the hot tub. For cross-country skiers, we can play around near the house all the way to Niquette Bay State Park but we can also go to town, the bike path is only plowed on one side, leaving a path for skiing and also the Intervale grooms trails all the way to Ethan Allen Park. Catamount Family Center has classic and skate groomed trails through woods and dale, with stunning vistas and a 4 km lighted night loop. If you don’t nordic ski bring along your snowshoes, we’ll be using them anyway for snowga :)

All of us will head into Burlington during the weekend to get in some of the Vermont Burlesque Festival, New England’s largest celebration of body positivity & the burlesque revival, raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research, the pride center of Vermont, the warmth program and the grant program at the Vermont Arts Council. Adventurers will receive more info about this event as we get closer to the date; Bangor’s Eye Candy is part of the festival, sweet!
