MYA is partnering again with Equinox Guiding Service for a rad rock climbing experience, this time in lovely Acadia National Park. Adventurers will get in plenty of climbing, indulge in vegetarian food, enjoy an outdoor yoga practice, and have an Airline Brewery beverage afterwards. Wicked!

Adventurers will climb with professional assistance from Equinox Guiding Service at Acadia. All the climbing necessities of helmet, harness, and shoes are included. Beginners welcome! Adventurers can challenge themselves or keep it simple and easy.

We can settle into a climb with many routes that are short and approachable and others that rise higher for a bigger adventure.

At the top, climbers are rewarded with some of the best views in the area. MYA will have plenty of vegetarian snacks for adventurers to work on whilst taking breaks from climbing.

Post climb, we’ll head to Airline Brewery, The Pub, in downtown Ellsworth. Inside a renovated historic building that reflects an atmosphere of a traditional English Pub from “The Old Country.” In many places, especially in small communities, a pub is a focal point of the community. Pubs can be traced back to Roman taverns, through the Anglo-Saxon alehouse to the development of the tied house system in the 19th century. Join us, it’s a terrific experience.

Join MYA for a Saturday of getting outside and playing in Acadia National Park. Adventurers will enjoy hiking and rock climbing with all of those fun things in between like mountain top yoga, splashing in the lake, vegetarian food feasting…

Adventurers will begin with a hike up the fab Beech Mountain Trail - this trail leads up the side of the cliffs with beautiful views and a ladder rung or two; a moderate hike. When adventurers arrive at the top of the cliffs some yoga will happen on a great slab of rocks in the sunshine. Beginners welcome!

The view is well worth the hike. Far below, people on the beach will seem like little ants and we’ll see Greening Island and the house where Henry Wadsworth Longfellow stayed with the Great Cranberry Island beyond. Southwest Harbor will also be in view from the top.

Post-hike adventurers will then have relaxation, yummy food eating, and optional swim time at Echo Lake Beach. It’s so nice to splash around after heating up hiking. The beach is nicely situated with trees and cliffs on both sides, a dramatic, tucked away, beautiful location. Adventurers will most likely be hungry and MYA will have vegetarian picnic lunch supplies at the ready.

There is plenty of room on the beach to put down your towel and simply lounge around. Once we get our energy levels back up, we may even get some stretching in on the sand.

Adventurers will then get in some awesome rock climbing with Noah Kleiner of Equinox Guiding Service at a sweet spot in the park. Noah will help guide adventurers through every step of the way - no experience necessary. MYA has worked with him several times and Noah always gets rave reviews from our clients and his own satisfied clients. Oh boy did we have fun last time!
