Maine Yoga Adventures is heading downeast for another spectacular yoga, hiking, yummy food weekend in gorgeous Lubec!
Adventurers will spend the weekend at West Quoddy Station; a beautiful piece of property with plenty of areas to practice yoga outside and in! The station is also very close to fabulous hiking!
This year MYA finally gets to take over the super cool big house, the Station House, that has two levels, sweet views, and is so close to a great platform for outdoor yoga practices. The house is an original c.1915 USCG building that housed the officers and crew of USCG Station Quoddy Head until being decommissioned in 1970.
Restored in 2002, it offers spacious accommodations with 5 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. On the 1st floor there is a fully equipped, modern kitchen, half bath, dining/living room and a large master suite. The second floor has a queen bedroom, a full bedroom, a twin bedroom (2 beds), a single bedroom and bathroom.
MYA’s fab downeast cook, Machelle LaHaye, will be serving up some scrumptious vegetarian meals for adventurers, we’re always happy to work with special dietary needs. Adventurers will be responsible for their lunches (although there’s usually leftovers!) and healthy snacks to keep their energy up for lots of nature explorations.
Adventurers will enjoy Quoddy Head State Park and the Bold Coast Trail for some of the best wildlife watching in the state. Adventurers may spot whales, countless ducks and shorebirds as well as eagles and songbirds. We’ll check out Maine's easternmost lighthouse, West Quoddy Head Light, in all of it’s candy-striped fabulousness. Wandering amongst the cliffs is breathtaking!
Lubec offers an astounding amount of nature from beaches to forest, ponds to bogs, cliff sides to gardens. From the rich ecological tapestry, adventurers can pick a special hike, start upon a magical trail and simply breath it in and enjoy...
Our adventure will also take us to Canada! Campobello Island is known for natural beauty, cultural significance and outstanding picturesque locations. Adventurers will get in hiking there as well!
We visited Head Harbour Lightstation for a small fee last season and were rewarded with whale and porpoise sightings.
The cost includes two nights accommodations, daily yoga, spectacular hiking, dinners & breakfasts, nighttime explorations, and more...
Cost: $750/shared queen; $700/shared double; $450/double; $425/single; $400/twin (shared price is the cost for 2 adventurers total)
If we need more space for adventurers, MYA will happily take over the Crew’s Quarters, our sweet accommodations from last year.
