Start your new year right and come together for a wintertime frolic in stunning Grafton Notch with MYA & Equinox Guiding Service! We’ll have a blast ice climbing and snowshoeing (or cross-country skiing) with sweet accommodations at Mahoosuc Mountain Lodge.
The adventure will begin Friday evening at the traditional New England timberframe lodge in the beautiful Bear River Valley of Newry. One mile from Grafton Notch State Park, the Mahoosuc Mountain Lodge views are dominated by the 3500-4000' peaks of the Mahoosuc Range. Arrival time is flexible, if you want to come early to get some time on snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, please do. If you need a later arrival, no worries, MYA will welcome you with open arms!
Adventurers will enjoy plenty of hearty, healthy vegetarian food and yoga practices to help maximize outdoor fun. Everyone will share cozy bunk room lodging and MYA will be working some magic in the large kitchen area serving up a tasty dinner and breakfast to give us the energy we need for playtime.
Saturday morning we’ll hit the perfect spot in Grafton Notch for climbing. Noah Kleiner of Equinox Guiding Service will help guide both beginners and experienced ice climbers with simple and reassuring step-by-step, professional, state-of-the-art instruction. He’ll provide adventurers with boots, spikes, ice axes, harnesses and helmets, and anything else (positive energy!) needed to make the bliss of ice climbing happen. Really, no experience necessary!
We'll follow up our ice climbing session with snowshoeing or cross-country skiing - adventurer’s choice. The locale is gorgeous no matter what we choose to do outside. Fingers crossed for piles of snow and more importantly wicked awesome ICE! If you have snowshoes and/or cross-country skis, bring them. If you don’t, no worries, MYA will help you acquire some.
Don’t miss out on this fabulous opportunity to play in the ice & snow in the gorgeous White Mountains…
