Waterfall Dip & Lazy Float: Up To Camp Adventure

Join MYA for some wicked fun traditional Maine camp style on Embden Lake and beyond…

The adventure begins on Saturday with a short hike to take in the beauty of Houston Brook Falls, a magical, tucked away gem. Adventurers can explore, climb, and dip in the pools of the waterfall. MYA will break out a yummy picnic to enjoy whilst splashing about.

Following the hiking and frolicking, we'll head to Amy's camp for an outdoor yoga practice with a lovely view of the lake. Beginners welcome!

There are plenty of boats to share so that adventurers can enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding and also tubing, kneeboarding and waterskiing - yahoo! Holly will also bring her paddleboards and adventurers can feel free to bring their own fav water craft as well.

If all that water horseplay is not in your comfort zone, there's a floating raft to relax on and aluminum docks with stairs to dip in and out of the lake. The adventure can fit your energy level - if you need more activity, it'll happen, if you need less, that can happen as well.

The early eve boat ride to watch the sunset will be gorgeous! We'll also hang by the fire and enjoy a beverage or two. Hoping for a sky full of stars.

Maine Yoga Adventures will supply yummy vegetarian food (happy to work with food allergies) - appetizers at the waterfall and dinner post paddling and/or lounging, and if you choose to spend the night, breakfast in the am.

Adventurers can choose to camp out (bring along your fav tent) or request a spare bedroom. *Sorry beds are sold out!

On Sundayfunday we’ll float down the river on tubes, very leisurely, very relaxing, super cool! Be sure to bring your own unicorn, flamingo, tire, whatever you’d like to ease into to move atop the water :) There are some available but pretty please let MYA know if you’d like one.

This camp is an absolute delight, come and enjoy all of the goodness! Please know that you can choose to come for both days or simply pick Saturday or Sunday to drop in.

Cost: $75/day trip; $150/overnight. Payment is available via VENMO (@maineyogaadventures_) or a good ol’ check in the mail or add to cart below.

Please contact MYA about overnight availability and review our cancellation policy - thank you!

Remote Paradise: Spencer Pond Adventure

Join Maine Yoga Adventures for a fabulous off the grid, foliage saturated, tucked away in the wilderness, waterfront weekend! Adventurers will enjoy a cozy cabin stay in the wilderness with lots of paddling, hiking, yoga, and yummy vegetarian food…

MYA will take over the Sabotawan Lodge, a less than 50 feet from the water’s edge, private expansive space with amazing views of Little Spencer Mountain. The screened in porch will be the perfect spot for wildlife watching, birding, meditating, reading, napping, experiencing some unplugged bliss. Please know that arrival time is very flexible, whatever works for you!

spencer1.jpeg

We’re going without electricity but not without comfort (no need to pack your sleeping bag or cookstove!), the lodge built in 1901 is fully furnished and boasts two wood stoves, homemade quilts, a library, plenty of twin beds and bunk beds, a super cool Victrola with some very old school music to get our groove on, and a great room with a gable window for stargazing. Adventurers may want to bust into the cabin game chest for supplies to play badminton, croquet and frisbee :)

We will definitely be taking full advantage of the canoes, kayaks and mountain bikes that are available! Please know that this adventure can be as relaxing or as full of fitness as you like, a go at your own pace adventure. The foliage should be amazing at this point in the season, adventurers can feel free to go crazy with cameras, paints, sketchbooks, journals, however the spirit moves you.

A nightly campfire will be on the schedule complete with wine and/or beer sipping with spooky stories and goofy songs. The Maine night sky is going to be jaw-dropping without light pollution.

Sundayfunday will be all about a fabulous breakfast, a paddle and hitting the trails that take us beyond the property (no hunting day!). Adventurers can decide what they’re up for, there are plenty of gorgeous and dramatic options very close by. Kineo is high on the list and we don’t have to ferry over, Fourth Mountain is a 4 mile out & back with nice wildflowers, and the most challenging would be Little Spencer Mtn which is steep and rocky but still tempting.

Don’t miss out on an excursion deep into the unique and stunning Maine woods!

Cost: $300 includes all meals, delicious and vegetarian, two nights fab rustic accommodations, paddling, biking, hiking…

Massage will be a possibility too an an additional cost! :)

Payment is available via VENMO or a good ol’ check in the mail or add to cart below…
